Foundational Priorities
- Integrity, Transparency & Responsible Leadership: Foster trust through open communication, ethical decision-making, and accessible information.
- Strong Communities & Smart Infrastructure: “Prioritize public health, well-maintained parks, safe roads, reliable public services that meet the needs of families who live in Ogden Valley.”
- Ensure Fairness in Property Taxation: “We all love this valley and want to contribute our fair share to keeping it strong. That’s why I support working with the county to identify properties — like second homes or vacation rentals — that may not be properly classified. It’s about fairness, not punishment. When everyone contributes what they should, we ease the burden on full-time residents and ensure our community has the resources it needs for public services and safety.”
- Coordination of services: Better Coordination, Less Disruption: We’ve all watched the same patch of road or trail dug up multiple times in one year — it’s frustrating, costly, and disruptive. Improved communication and coordination between utility companies, contractors, and local government can save time, save money, and reduce the constant construction headaches for residents.
- Support Local Business & Protect Community Character: “Our small businesses are the heart of this community — they provide jobs, services, and gathering places that make our town unique. I believe in encouraging thoughtful, locally owned businesses that meet community needs without overwhelming the quiet, small-town feel we all value. It’s about community minded growth that keeps our economy strong while preserving the pace and character of our valley.”
- Education & Opportunity: “Partner with schools and community programs to inspire the next generation to be stewards of this Valley, while creating meaningful pathways for each citizen to have opportunities to learn, grow and meaningfully contribute.”
- Protect our Character & Honoring Our Roots: We all know the challenges that come with living in this beautiful Valley — drought years where we have been asked not to water, wildfire risk, shrinking agricultural lands and farms due to the growing demands on our land and water. Our mountains, hillsides, and reservoir are more than just scenery — they are precious resources that sustain our way of life. We must work together to protect and preserve them, ensuring this place remains healthy, resilient, and thriving for generations to come. We don’t have to turn into a crowded and overdeveloped Valley, we can be different. We can choose our path forward.
- Inclusive Decision-Making & Balanced Growth: Listen to all residents, promote fairness, and guide growth in a way that preserves what makes our community special.
